about group loop

Group Loop is an innovative and groundbreaking program of the Cancer Support Community for teens impacted by cancer – both teens diagnosed with cancer and teens close to someone with cancer. In addition to an informative website, Group Loop is a safe, online community for teens to connect with others facing similar challenges. Professionally monitored discussion boards provide a forum for teens to share ideas and connect with others. The online community is a password protected site that requires users to create a personal profile, enabling them to connect with others and join the community.

In addition to the discussion groups, teens with cancer have an opportunity to join an Online Support Group. An Online Support Group is a professionally facilitated support group that teens with cancer can access as long as they have internet access and connect with other teens living with a cancer diagnosis.

Group Loop harnesses the power of the Internet to build a nationwide support network for teens impacted by cancer. This innovative program helps teens regain a sense of control over their lives.

Group Loop was launched in 2006 with generous support from Amgen and private funds to provide support to teens with cancer and their parents. The program was re-launched in early 2011 to provide support to all teens affected by cancer, and the parents were transitioned to the Cancer Support Community website for support.
