Group Loop’s Online Support Groups (OSGs) are free, password protected weekly support groups with a professional facilitator/leader.

We currently offer OSGs for teens with cancer (ages 13-19) and for parents of teens with cancer.

Meet online weekly at a scheduled time for 90 minutes.
Participate with no more than 8 people.
Professionals, trained in The Wellness Community’s model, facilitate the group.

Complete a short phone interview (a staff person from The Wellness Community will call you)
Send the Diagnosis Confirmation Form (for participants)

Because of demand, sometimes our Online Support Groups may quickly fill up. If this happens, you may place your name on a waiting list. While you wait to join a group, we encourage you to visit other resources on the site including the message boards, Cancer, School & You and the Info Zone.

who can use group loop’s OSGs

Group Loop's Online Support Groups are available for teenagers with any type of cancer from 13 to 19 years of age. You will talk 2 teens with cancer to receive and share support, feedback and information. Online Support Groups are meant as educational and informational support programs.

Group Loop is a program of The Wellness Community (TWC) modeled after the successful online services at The Virtual Wellness Community. TWC does not offer medical or religious advice in our programs. The Wellness Community focuses on psychological, emotional support, and education. Therefore, the more you use the support group with this focus in mind, the more you can gain from the experience.
